Job Title : Educator

Who We’re Looking For: We seek committed, grounded individuals with a strong service mindset who respect and value tribal culture. The ideal candidate takes initiative to solve problems independently, is willing to learn on the job, and is ready to live and work in a remote rural setting while staying dedicated to building a better future for children and the community. 


 Role Summary: The educator will create a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment for older children and young adolescents (approx. ages 10–14) at our  Learning Centre.


Key Responsibilities:


-  Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities focused on foundational literacy, numeracy, digital literacy, life skills, and creative expression.


- Support children’s social-emotional development, peer relationships, inclusion, and positive behaviour during early adolescence.


 - Use culturally relevant examples, stories, and discussions to make learning meaningful.


 - Track learning progress, identify gaps, and maintain simple attendance and performance records.


- Engage parents/guardians through regular communication on learning, wellbeing, and adolescent needs.


 - Ensure child safety, hygiene practices, and maintain a respectful, stimulating classroom environment.


- Coordinate with community leaders, fellow teachers, and support team; actively participate in training and peer learning.


Qualifications & Skills:


· Graduate in Education, Social Work, Child Development, or related discipline.


· Minimum 2 years’ teaching experience, OR 1 year with B.Ed/adolescent pedagogy training.


· Experience working with children/young adolescents aged 10–14 years preferred.


· Community/rural experience is a strong advantage.


· Warm, patient, respectful; strong commitment to child protection and safeguarding principles.


· Basic record-keeping, ability to assess learning levels, digital literacy, and teamwork skills.


· Familiarity with remedial learning, life skills education, or working with out-of-school/dropout children, desirable.


· Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the team.
